Cortez Burst Triathlon

The Cortez Burst is a Sprint Triathlon featuring races for everyone! From kids to adults & beginners to seasoned Triathletes, there's something for everyone. The Cortez Burst is the first race in the Southwest Colorado Triathlon Series.

Adult Triathlon Can be done in either as a team or as an individual. Swim:  Outdoors at the Cortez Pool.  500 meters Bike:  12-miles Run: 5K (3.1 miles) Individuals: $55 Early Bird Rate $65 After June 13 Teams: $100 Early Bird Rate $120 After June 13

Youth Triathlon Can be done as a team or as an individual. Children 6-14 years of age. Swim: 200 meters Bike: 5-miles Run: 1-mile Individuals: $25

Kiddie Triathlon Must be accompanied with an adult throughout the race. Children 3-5 years old. Swim: 1- length (25-meters) Bike: around City Park (all onside walk and not crossing a street) about ¼ mile Run:  Around the exterior of the City Pool, about 200 – yards. Individuals: $10

Pre-race meetings for parents and participants will be held at 6:30am at the pool on July 4th 2018

Adult individual and teams start at 7:00am, youth immediately after adults.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP

      All registration is done online.
      Packet pickup is July 3rd 4 to 6pm at
Run+Hike
1 West Main Street.

      Everyone must check-in the morning of the race to get their chip.

All participants and spectators may park at the Cortez City Park Pool parking lot.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES

Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by BCRacetiming. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:

Race participants can also use the ITSYourRace platform to view and share finish line photos with family and friends for free on Facebook along with free custom finisher certificates!
